The motto of Five States is “Money Well Invested”. We believe in being prudent guardians of the assets our investors place in us. It is a privilege to be entrusted with this responsibility, and we realize that we must earn your confidence every day. Since our founding by Jim Gibbs in 1985, Five States has expanded from a focus on oil and gas investments to a broader platform providing opportunities in energy, real estate and private equity/venture.

The scope of our investments reflects the experience and skill sets of our management group and the diverse interests of our investors. We wish to provide our investors exposure to quality investment opportunities in our fields of interest under the umbrella of the Five States brand.

We focus our activities in those areas where we believe we and our investment partners have a high level of expertise and will be successful in identifying and developing quality investment opportunities. Our chosen areas for investment are domestic, on-shore oil and gas, multifamily real estate and private equity investments in alternative energy, energy storage and ancillary technology.
