Donald J. Malouf is a Manager of Five States Energy Comapany, LLC and serves as Vice President and Secretary. Mr. Malouf received his BBA and MBA from the University of Texas. He received a JD from Southern Methodist University. In 2006 he retired from active law practice to serve as a non-legal consultant to a limited number of clients, including Five States.
During his 45 years of professional practice, Mr. Malouf was a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation, the American Bar Association and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel. He also currently serves as a director of various charities and corporations. Mr. Malouf was Board Certified in Estate Planning and Probate and was a frequent lecturer as well as an author of ten volumes on the subject of tax and estate planning.
During his legal career, he was listed in every edition of Best Lawyers in America and in Texas Monthly magazine as a “Super Lawyer.” He was listed by Robb Report’s Worth Magazine as one of the “Top 100 Attorneys” in America for his work with entrepreneurial families. Mr. Malouf received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Probate, Trusts, & Estates Section of the Dallas Bar Association. He received the Distinguished Alumnus Award for Private Practice by SMU Dedman School of Law.
